After long months in the shipyard, "Allagrande Mapei" returned to its natural element on May 4th in Lorient, Brittany, home of the Italian-French team. In addition to the new livery, which blends Mapei's deep blue with Allagrande's bright turquoise, the boat features technical innovations and a lighter structure.
The boat has been improved, lightened, and transformed — particularly with the relocation of the foil cases — to increase its performance in view of its first solo season.

"Allagrande Mapei" represents a step forward in technological research applied to ocean sailing, confirming the team's innovative approach. The number 37 pays homage to the founding year of main sponsor Mapei, established in 1937.

«I am very proud of the team's work and confident in the technical choices we have made. The initial results are impressive, particularly the weight reduction, and I really like the idea of having profoundly modified the boat to truly adapt it to my needs. But the most incredible thing is the energy the team has put into this shipyard. I have never had a large team working for me, at most one or two people. Here, however, there are many of us, and I feel a truly beautiful energy, today and for the future. We can count on this in the coming years, and it will clearly be one of our team's strengths.»
