Genesis of a winning boat
Launched in 2023, designed by Antoine Koch and Finot-Conq, and built by CDK Technologies in Lorient, the IMOCA immediately demonstrated its full competitive potential.
Before joining the Allagrande Mapei Racing team in early 2025, the boat had already proven its potential in races, winning the Transat Jacques Vabre 2023 and finishing 7th in the Vendée Globe 2024.
The 2025 season was used to get to grips with the project, alternating between crewed and double-handed races, while the boat's main qualities immediately emerged: good downwind speed and proven potential. "Allagrande Mapei" is also the sister ship of the current "MACSF" ("Ex Arkea Paprec").
Engineering in Evolution

Design and protection
Built with several specific technical solutions, the bow is designed to cut through waves, with a less scow-like approach than other recent IMOCAs.
The deck facilitates water evacuation and improved aerodynamics.
The cockpit is enclosed at the front and sides to protect the skipper, with an opening towards the stern to maintain visibility of the external environment.

The refit
In winter 2025–2026, a major refit was carried out: new foils, evolution of the foil cases and general lightening.
The goal is to have a solid foundation to work on in the coming years, developing performance.
