An exciting experience: Mapei UK with its customers in Portsmouth for the Ocean Race Europe
From August 14 to 17, Mapei UK shared an exclusive and engaging experience with its clients in the splendid setting of Portsmouth, for the Ocean Race Europe 2025 stopover.
On the quayside between sailing and networking
The event opened on Thursday with a brunch reserved for clients from the "Resilient Line" division at The Old Customs House, overlooking Gunwharf Quays. A moment during which guests were able to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of the Ocean Live Park and witness the arrival of the boats from Kiel.
Friday, on the other hand, was dedicated to Mapei UK's architect partners, who were welcomed for a guided tour of the Ocean Live Park and the competing boats. The presence of Bianca Bertolini, a member of the Allagrande Mapei team, enriched the experience with technical details and authentic anecdotes about the world of ocean sailing. Guests also had the opportunity to test a racing simulator, concluding the day with a convivial dinner, also at The Old Customs House.
A special welcome for Allagrande Mapei
Saturday evening, the much-anticipated moment: the arrival of Allagrande Mapei in Portsmouth, enthusiastically welcomed by the Mapei UK staff.
Sunday, the final day, saw the return of some guests and the arrival of new architects, for an elegant lunch followed by the parade of boats departing for Cowes, where the second leg of the regatta officially began. Great emotion in seeing Allagrande Mapei at the starting line, the result of the great work done by the team to get the boat back in the water after the accident in the previous leg.
Making the moment even more special was the distribution of Allagrande Mapei flags to the public, and for five lucky guests, the chance to follow the start aboard an official RIB.
